A simple restaurant! Which has a large menu.Staff welcomed us in as we entered. We were happy to find a spot to eat as there isn't much on hwy 430. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. I had club house with fresh chicken and it was great. My wife had a "Newfie" poutine which she loved, my mother had hamburger and fries that she enjoyed. A simple restaurant that does it right. Would eat there again!!! You reading this, should try it!!
It is good here. This is where I come to eat food when the food at school is not good. It tastes good. Also, theres free wifi, so thats a bonus! Theres also a jukebox and an arcade game. Heres a picture of my fries. They taste good. 10/10, would eat again. (And I will!)
While the seafood was certainly fresh and most of us enjoyed the diner-esque fare, the staff knowingly served burned scallops after we requested (as per their menu) that they be pan-fried. Scallops were placed to hide the burned parts and when we mentioned it to the server, she acknowledged that they knew and that it had happened because they were pan-fried. We weren't offered an apology or discount or replacement scallops. If you can't fry a scallop without burning it, don't have that as an option!
We had a very nice large bowl of chowder+ warm buttered buns for lunch served by pleasant staff in 10 minutes at 12h45 a weekday so a good stop on the road between the ferry or Gros Morne and St Anthony/L'Anse aux Meadows
Food is pretty good, but service was not that great. Everyone at my table felt this way.
